As of Tuesday morning, May 4, an amended bill providing property owners the right to install solar energy devices passed through the Louisiana Civil Law and Procedures Committee with flying colors.
Rep. Franklin J. Foil put the final touches on the new bill, which is now pending House floor action.
Many thanks to Sierra Club lobbyist Darryl Hunt for both testifying for the new bill and supporting it in the second round of debates.
Also, the Louisiana Solar Energy Society would like to acknowledge its active member Mr. Chris Trimble for attending the second hearing and supporting both the LSES and its efforts to pass the solar rights bill.
