Solar ToursSolar Tour Home

Take advantage of the opportunity to get up close and personal with solar energy by visiting solar homes and businesses throughout Louisiana. Those who may be interested in installing solar on their own homes get the chance to talk to current homeowners about the benefits of “going solar” and decide if solar is right for them.

The next solar tour will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014.  The event will be free for everyone, but we would appreciate it if you would consider making a $10 donation to LSES when you register.  More details will be available soon, but please mark your calendars and RSVP: 2014lasolartour.eventbrite.com Registration to go on the tour will remain open until the event.  If you are interested in placing your home on display on the tour, please see the message from State Coordinator Lainey Latiolais  below for more details.  The deadline to apply for your home to be featured is MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 1 (LABOR DAY).

**CALLING FOR FALL 2014 SOLAR TOUR EXHIBITORS**
LSES Members,
Our Fall 2014 Solar Tour of Homes is just around the corner (October 4, 2014), and if you are an LSES solar homeowner we are asking for your help.
What are we looking for? We are looking for Louisiana solar homeowners to be a part of the tour.  This year, our main tour will be concentrated in the Baton Rouge area, but we are also looking for homes in other cities.  If you are a solar homeowner and would like to be an exhibitor but you do not live in Baton Rouge, we welcome you to submit your home as an exhibit for members who live in your area and cannot drive to Baton Rouge.
What is required of you? Each exhibitor will be given a 15 minute time slot between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM during which you must be at your house to welcome tour participants, provide a brief explanation of your solar system, and answer any questions.  If you do not feel confident in explaining your system you can request an information sheet from your installer.   You can even ask your installer to join you for the tour.
How to Get Involved If you are interested in being an exhibitor, please e-mail the application above to Lainey@lses.org.  Exhibits will be chosen based on location,  timeliness of response, and type of system.  This is an annual LSES event that helps to unite the Louisiana solar community!  We highly encourage your participation whether you are a solar homeowner, installer, or a solar enthusiast.  To follow the tour on October 4, 2014, register for free here.
Sincerely,
Lainey Latiolais LSES State Coordinator lainey@lses.org
