Calling all Instagrammers and photographers with an affinity for artistic instagram photos, green living, and a little friendly competition! We are asking Louisiana instagrammers to donate their best “green” photos to the Louisiana Solar Energy Society [LSES] to be judged and sold at our Instagram art show/ LSES fundraiser. Simply choose your instagram picture, have it printed in a 5×5 format, complete and attach the photo submission form below, and deliver or mail it to the Green Bean Cafe. We will mount your photo on Mat board and hang it in the cafe. The subject of your photos should include all things that are environmentally friendly that help keep the Earth clean and green. Categories include People in Sustainability, Sustainable Things, Sustainable Places, and Sustainable Energy. Examples include green living, renewable energy, green spaces, green community, and all things eco-friendly. Pictures can only be taken with iPhone or Android, and there is a maximum of 2 submissions per person. Submissions are due Wednesday September 10, 2014 at 4pm at the Green Bean Cafe. We will accept the first 100 entries. There is no entry fee to mail or deliver photos to the Green Bean Cafe. You may make your submissions electronically for a $5.00 print fee. To do this, e-mail your edited photo and a completed submission form to firstname.lastname@example.org. Contact email@example.com if you have any questions.
The InstaArtBR Show was an absolute fundraising success! Over $600.00 in profits were donated to LSES. A huge thank you goes out to all who participated and helped to plan the event. We couldn’t have done it without our generous sponsors: Jason’s Deli, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Fresh Market, and Gulf South Solar!
The unique art show was produced by Instagram photographers and featured prints in categories such as animals, nature, people, cuisine, and abstract. Attendees could vote for their favorite photos while enjoying delicious food from our sponsors.
If you have any ideas for fundraisers like this or if you can donate your time or resources to an upcoming fundraiser, please contact Lainey@lses.org so that we can start planning the next LSES event!
