The Baton Rouge Green Crawl is an annual event LSES takes part of to promote solar and an overall green perspective. Residents of Lousiana and the Baton Rouge area participate by making stops along the crawl route. Each stop on the route constitutes of businesses and organizations that provide information on how to go “green” in Louisiana. Crawlers make their way through Baton rouge on bikes and cars to stamp their event passports. These passports allow free admission to music, drinks and prizes at the crawl’s stopping point, which last year was Chelsea’s Cafe. The last stop of the night is none other than the Louisiana Solar Energy Society. LSES is also joined at its stop by the Recycling Foundation and Gulf South Solar. After crawlers fill their minds with solar facts and tips on how to recycle, they make their way to the stopping point where they can mingle into the night and win prizes donated by each organization along the evening’s route.
