The Baton Rouge Green Crawl is an annual event LSES participates in to promote solar and an overall green perspective. Residents of Lousiana and the Baton Rouge area participate by making stops along the crawl route. Each stop on the route constitutes of businesses or organizations that provide information on how to go “green” in Louisiana. Crawlers make their way through Baton rouge on bikes and in cars, and at each stop they receive a stamp on their event passports.
The last stop of the night is none other than the Louisiana Solar Energy Society. LSES is also joined at its stop by the Recycling Foundation and Gulf South Solar. After crawlers fill their minds with solar facts and tips on how to recycle, their event passports grant them free admission to music and drinks at the crawl’s stopping point. Here, they can mingle into the night and win prizes donated by each organization along the route. For those eager to attend the next crawl, please email email@example.com.
